Our client is an established contracting and design and build business with a strong client base in the commercial construction sector. Typically, they carry out projects ranging from small refurbishments to $40million new build developments across the industrial, retail, education and health sectors.

They are now entering an exciting new phase in the company’s history and have ambitious plans to increase turnover and profitability. As a result of this expansion, they are now seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to join their Auckland regional office.

This role is a strategic position within the organisation and will have direct input across all phases of a project life cycle. The role will also be responsible for-

* Implementing the company’s robust health, safety and quality management systems
* Overseeing all site activities
* Recruiting, managing and developing staff
* Working along side the commercial team to oversee costs and tender analysis
* Compiling monthly project reports for the Company Directors
* Taking a proactive role with clients to enhance the company’s reputation and secure further work.

We expect suitable candidates to hold a tertiary education certificate, have relevant experience within major construction organisations and be able to demonstrate drive and a desire to succeed.
