Our client is a well renowned company whose highly reputable product is a household name. Due to continued development and demand, they are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with leadership experience. Reporting to the Development Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for design and implementation with the opportunity to lead a team and mentor junior engineers.
You’ll have a strong academic background with a real innovative and creative mind. You thrive on working with challenging designs and are able to develop complex algorithms. You are adaptable and pragmatic and have the ability to successfully solve problems. You’ll have sound knowledge of object-oriented design principles and have experience with developing platform independent code and working with automated testing.
Ideally, you’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to lead, mentor or manage a team
- At least 5 years commercial software development experience with Objective C or/and C++
- Significant iPhone (Cocoa framework) development experience
- Embedded operating systems experience (WinCE, Android / iPhone)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as the confidence to liaise face to face with clients
- Initiative, self-motivated, results driven and proactive
- Ability to work unsupervised
- A team player keen to share ideas
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
