A strategic role on a high profile project
Our client is a major New Zealand based civil engineering company. From their network of offices through out the country they carry out a wide range of contracts from Highway term maintenance contracts to individual schemes in the water, energy, roading and structures sectors.

Our client has recently been approved as a 50/50 joint venture partner on a major highways project in the Wellington region. This is part of the New Zealand government’s Projects of National Significance investment programme and will be starting on site in January 2013.

We are now seeking applications for the position of Commercial Manager on this $180million scheme. This is a strategic role in the project delivery team and will report directly to the Project Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and overseeing all financial and contractual matters.

The project involves large volume earthworks, structures, new highway and intersections and utilities. Suitable candidates will ideally have previous experience of similar large scale civil engineering schemes,  have previously worked in joint venture partnerships and posses the skills and acumen to ensure the successful delivery of the contract.
